Cue, AI features and your data
Stagent's AI features, including Cue (our very own AI assistant), only work on data you explicitly share with them. This article explains what gets shared, who can turn it on, where the line sits between an agency and the artists on its roster, and which companies process your data along the way.
Sharing is off by default. Two separate switches have to be on before any AI feature reads a single booking, and we did not turn either of them on for you.
The two switches
1. AI features, in your account settings
Found under Account settings. This decides whether you use AI features at all: access to Cue, the daily briefing on your dashboard, the biography rewriter, and every AI feature we add later. It's yours alone and it shares nothing on its own.
2. Let AI read this team's data, in Team settings → Privacy & data
Only an owner or admin of that team can turn this on. It decides whether that team's data may be read by AI at all. The page shows who enabled it and when, so there's always a record.
Both switches have to be on. With only the first, Cue opens as a chat window that can tell you which switch is still off and who can flip it, and nothing more.
Nothing is synced in the background
Stagent does not copy your data to an AI provider on a schedule. Data leaves only when you ask for something: a question to Cue, a daily briefing, a biography rewrite. Only the data that request needs goes with it.
What Cue can read
With both switches on, Cue reads your events, bookings, travel and itineraries, advancing, activity, venues, companies and contacts, and, where your role allows it, your invoices, contracts and statements.
Cue works inside your existing permissions. It can never show you anything you couldn't already open yourself in Stagent, and it respects roster limitations exactly like the rest of the app. If a colleague can't see fees, neither can their Cue.
Where the line sits between an agency and an artist
Each team decides about its own view of Stagent. Your switch covers what your team can see. It doesn't reach into anyone else's, and nobody else's reaches into yours.
If you run an agency
Your view is your business: the line-up, the buyer, your fees, your invoices, your contracts, your contacts, and where every show sits in your pipeline. Leave the switch off and none of that reaches an AI model. Nobody outside your team can turn it on for you.
There is a flip side worth knowing. An artist on your roster can turn the switch on for their own team. When they do, what that artist could already see of a show they're playing becomes readable by AI: the venue, the date, their own set time, their own travel and their own advancing.
What never crosses to an artist, switch or no switch
- The buyer
- Your booking fee (if not shared with the artist)
- The pipeline status of the show
- The other acts within the event
- Invoices and contracts
- Your companies and contacts
None of that was ever visible to them in Stagent, and Cue can't reach further than the person asking. A roster entry that nobody from that artist actually uses has no switch to flip.
If you're an artist on Agency Connect
What you can already see of your own booking is yours to decide about. Your switch covers your view and stops there, so your agency's business stays theirs and your own view stays your call.
If you're an artist on a Solo plan
It's entirely your own switch, on your own Privacy & data page.
What Cue can change
Cue answers questions by default and changes nothing. Write access is a separate toggle in Cue's own settings. With it on, Cue can create and update events, bookings, availability, travel items, companies, contacts, venues, advancing and team settings, always inside your own permissions. Artist on Agency Connect won't be able to edit anything.
Three limits hold whatever you toggle:
- Cue never deletes anything.
- Cue never changes fees.
- Cue never writes invoices, contracts or statements.
Who touches your data
- Onoma runs the service behind Cue, which receives your question and the Stagent data needed to answer it. Onoma is a direct partner venture.
- Anthropic provides the models. Cue's answers, the daily briefing and the biography rewriter all run on them.
- OpenAI receives a small amount of text, only so Cue can index and recall what you've told it.
Stagent itself runs on Laravel Cloud, hosted on AWS in Frankfurt, so your data sits inside the European Economic Area by default. Files are stored on Cloudflare R2 and search runs on Meilisearch in Frankfurt. Every company that processes data on our behalf is named in our Privacy Policy.
Training
What you put into Stagent's AI features is not used to train AI models. Not by us, not by Anthropic, not by OpenAI. Our Terms and Conditions say so.
Turning it off
Either switch can go off at any time, and it takes effect immediately. Cue cannot access your team's data, daily briefings stop, and Cue's tools disappear rather than failing halfway through an answer. Cue will tell you which switch is off and who can turn it back on.
Common questions
Did you turn this on for existing teams?
No. Every team starts with sharing off. It stays off until an owner or admin turns it on.
Can my agency turn it on for my artist team?
No. Only an owner or admin of that team can, and only for that team.
Can Cue show me something I'm not allowed to see?
No. Cue runs inside your own permissions and roster limitations. If you can't open it in Stagent, Cue can't read it for you.
Does this apply to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI client I connect myself?
Yes. The team switch governs everything that reads your data through our API, including any AI client you connect through the MCP server.
Is Cue included in my plan?
Cue, and other AI features, are in beta and free for now. It will later carry a monthly add-on fee, and we'll tell you well before that changes.
